Becoming an ICST-Provider is a position that is highly sought after by many sandtray therapists in the field.  The Standards of IAST hold that all Providers must meet certain criteria and then also fulfill other requirements, such as the completion of a 3-day training program, which is focused solely on the mechanics, theory, and training of the ICST-P Program. The Standards of IAST also state that the number of providers is directly proportional to the number of members of the IAST organization itself.  

The reasoning for all of this is to maintain a high quality and standard for all trainers who work to provide credentialing training under the IAST. Our goal is to provide each ICST-P with enough support, training, and knowledge to ensure that the only difference between ICST-P’s is location and specialty, not quality. Being an ICST-P is both a privilege and a responsibility. 

We only open Provider applications as membership grows or other Providers withdraw their status.  If you are interested in becoming an ICST-P but registration is not open at this time for new applicants, please email members@sandtraytherapy.org with your contact information so we can place your name on the waiting list to be notified of the next available opening for ICST-P.
